About The Artist
I grew up as part of a large Irish Family in Dublin. Since childhood I have created either with my hands or in my mind. Art was a natural progression to a more natural form as I realized that I could become an artist. I paint almost every day in my studio. All my work has its roots in realism and the challenge to accurately depict the work in front of me challenges me all the time My work roams from nature to animals and architectural street scenes. Recently I have tried my hand at Fluid Contemprary Art. My medium of choice started with watercolour. Mostly botanical art. In which I achieved a Diploma with Distinction, under the guidance of Irish Botanical Artist Shevaun Doherty. I now also use oil and acrylic mostly on large canvases to suit the more modern of houses. Why we paint is far more important than what or how we paint. I am taking a wonderful creative journey.
